Rubisco proteins can be extracted from almost all green crops. At Rubisco Foods we extract them from water lentils, which is the term used for lemna or duckweed, and alfalfa (lucerne) cultivated under controlled and food-grade conditions.
Water lentil protein contains the highest level of Essential Amino Acids (EAA’s) and BCAA’s of all plant proteins. Its amino acid profile is comparable with animal proteins like whey and egg.
